The element defines the identity of an SNF node either directly or by referring to an identity.xml file.

Referencing an identity.xml file:

<node identity='c:/SNF/identity.xml'> 

Including the license id and authentication string:

<node licenseid='licensid' authentication='authenticationxx'> 

The elements also contains all of the other control elements for the node such as:

• <paths/> - Location of workspace, logs, rulebase.
• <logs/> - Log formats and presentation.
• <network/> - Network controls and related functions.
• <xci/> - XCI service controls.
• <gbudb/> - GBUdb maintenance and training.
• <rule-panics/> - Immediate false positive resolution.
• <platform/> - Platform specific features & setup.
• <msg-file/> - Expected message file format.
