SNF SDK for Windows

The SNF SKD for Windows is a Win32 DLL implementation of SNFServer. It provides a direct interface to SNF message scanning & GBUdb API. The DLL also provides XCI to support command line functions via SNFClient. (64bit DLL available upon request) This is a preliminary release-- we are still refining the documentation. The DLL itself has been in use for several years on a number of large installations and is well vetted.

The SNF SDK for *nix is a Unix (g++ source) based SNFMulti library implemented as a .SO also including source for SNFClient. The SNFMulti library provides a direct interface to the SNF message scanning & GBUdb API. SNFMulti also provides XCI services when active.

The Message Sniffer SDK for Windows environments wraps the Message Sniffer scanning engine in a C style DLL that can be easily integrated into Windows based email applications. The API provides a simplified platform consisting of just over a dozen functions and only a handful of those are actually required to implement a fully functional scanner.

Using the SDK allows applications to pass messages to the engine and collect results directly in memory. This can save on system IO loads and dramatically reduce the time required to scan each message by eliminating overhead. The SDK provides a very thin interface to the scanning engine components while abstracting the details of the underlying C++ objects. The highly efficient API/engine combination is thread safe and limited only by the available resources (RAM & CPU cores).

The SDK includes sample code and projects for C++, C#, and VB implementations using Visual Studio.

A valid Message Sniffer license is required because the engine will not operate without a valid rulebase file and because the learning algorithms require regular connections with our servers so that they can exchange data with other SNF nodes.

 

The Message Sniffer Windows SDK is FREE with any valid Message Sniffer license. An active subscription and valid rulebase is required for testing.

This distribution includes win32 and win64 DLLs that provides direct access to SNF & GBUdb functions. The engine is fully multi-threaded and provides throttling tools to help control the level of concurrency desired (in case the calling application doesn't). The DLL also provides the customary XCI interface and all of the usual SNFServer functions if desired.

The SDK package includes sample code for several popular Windows programming languages. Source code for the DLL is also provided for those who wish to use other compilers (some code tweaking may be required).
